1. Tuition is payable in advance, in monthly installments, and ongoing throughout the year.
2. Other fees that are not covered by tuition and will be charged separately are late fees, returned check fees, collection fees, and charges for lost music books, recitals/activities fee, etc. 3. Monthly tuition payments must be personally delivered to the Studio or mailed. Acceptable methods of payments are by check, wired or cash. Tuition not received by 1st of the month will incur a late fee of $40.00. Checks returned for non-sufficient funds will incur a fee of $25.00. 4. Family discount - I use the same amount of effort for each student, and can not afford to charge less. 5. Karine LeBaron Studio lesson fee’s. 30 minutes - $160 per month* 45 minutes- $240 (4 lessons) 60 minutes - $320 (4 lessons) 6.Registration fee $100 7. I do not travel to students homes. 1. Discussions concerning student progress, schedule changes, billing questions, etc. should be initiated at the beginning of the lesson or at a mutually agreed upon time. There is a very limited amount of time scheduled between each lesson. Each student should be prompt about exiting after their lesson’s time has expired. 2. Students are expected to attend all lessons. 3. Make up can be offered as an extended lessons. 4. If student cancels a scheduled lesson for any reason, the monthly tuition remains the same* *Keep in mind, some months have 5 weeks. The 5th week doesn't include in monthly fee. 5. Students who arrive late for their lesson will have their time deducted for that lesson accordingly. 6. Holidays and School vacations are considered normal business days* * If it falls on major Holiday, make -up lesson is offered. 7. Emergency situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. 8. Lesson time must remain as focused as possible - siblings or visitors are welcome to attend provided they remain quiet. 9. Tuition fees are subject to an increase upon 30 days’ written notice to Student. II. Special Events 1. Studio recital is part of the curriculum. 2. $35 fee for Spring Recital 3. Other options: MTAC festivals, TVMTA, RCM and CAPMT. III. Family/Student Responsibilities 1. Positive parental involvement is essential. 2. Piano lessons are like a triangle - it takes three sides to make a successful musical experience. The student, parent and teacher must all work together; hence, cooperation and communication between all parties is essential. 3. Practice A. Daily practice is necessary for progress. Practice times: 1st & 2nd year - 30 minutes (may be divided) 3rd & 4th year - 40 minutes 5th & 6th year - 50-60 minutes 7th year & up - 1-3 hours B. Environment I. The instrument should be kept in tune and in good repair. If an electronic keyboard is used, it should have full-sized keys. II. It is recommended the proper bench height and distance from the instrument be determined by the student’s physical size. III. There should be no distractions (phone, TV, other people playing in room, etc.) 4. Fingernails and hands: a. When playing with curved fingers, the nails should not click. b. Nails should be trimmed prior to PRACTICE. c. The hands have to be clean before the lesson starts. 5. Tardiness a. Student promptness is the responsibility of the student/parent; time lost will not be made up. 6. Special Needs a. The teacher should be advised of any learning disabilities or other special physical or emotional needs of the student or family. Studio and Studio Procedures REMEMBER—the studio is in a private residence and must be regarded and respected as such. No food or drinks (except water) is allowed in the studio! An exception may be made for adults only, provided that they assume full responsibility for the expense of cleanup or repair of damage to the studio due to spills or other like accidents. Instruments are expensive and require exceptional respect. Clean hands and fingers are a must before playing the instrument. Students are to come to the lessons ready to learn. Shortly trimmed nails are a must. Girls should have their hair pulled up and away from the face, as that maybe a distraction. Staircase is off limits. Children hanging and playing on handrail, etc. is not allowed. Parents please monitor your children’s activities. PARKING - You may park in any available space Termination Policy: The Studio requires 30 days written notice for students completely terminating lessons for any reason. Following the termination notification, a 30 day tuition payment is required. No REFUND. In addition, the Studio reserves the right to terminate lessons with any student for non-compliance with any of the stated lesson policies and requirements. . If the make - up classes continues to be asked the school reserves the rights to terminate the contract between the student and school.
